The neck is hobo straight, and the string height is about 2.5mm on the 6th string side at the 12th fret. The ES-125 is a versatile model ideal for blues or jazz, and this is a particularly good sounding example. It has repro tuners but is otherwise all original. Comes with its original Lifton brown lined case. #1953 gibson es 125 full size#This is a Gibson ES-125 1953 Lefty spec.The body has been refinished and is beautiful.The pegs have been replaced with ones that are almost identical to the original pegs.The volume and tone are relocated to the opposite side of the body, and the original holes are plugged and painted.The pods for the right side have been relocated, so the direction of rotation is reversed.The shield jack is also relocated to the bottom of the body, and the original hole is plugged and painted as well.The bridge is also made of rosewood for the left side, so octave tuning is good.The side position marks are also made for the left side, so there are side position marks on the right and left sides.The back of the right pickguard was the same pattern as the left pickguard, so I turned it over and chamfered the corners round and installed it on the left pickguard.The pickups are the original P90 single coils, which produce a jazzy tone. Several variants of the ES-125 were made, including full size body, thin body, thin body with cutaway, and one or two pickups. Original frets, original everything just a very cool guitar from Gibson’s golden age. Upon its reintroduction in 1946, the ES-125 changed in a number of ways including a wider body, a new P-90 pickup, and trapezoid inlays.
